Italian Academic system:
I have managed five two-year research groups funded by the Italian Ministry of Education (Prin-Cofin): 1997, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2007.
2010-2013: I have managed the research group at the Department for the Humanities supported by the regional government of Piedmont (CRESO) on forms of civil and ecclesiastical society in the early modern age.
2007-2011: I have managed a grant for 180.000 euro of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Vercelli to complete a social and cultural history of the city of Vercelli (La storia di Vercelli in età moderna e contemporanea, published in 2011).
2008-2012: Provost for Cultural Affairs (Delegato del Rettore), Università del Piemonte orientale
2005: Chairman of the Department of the Humanities at the Università del Piemonte orientale.
